Productive Learners Without Brain Rot
This is a Response to the Brain Rot wikithon
To prevent brain rot from being caused by dime content on digital media, students can take some innovative steps. First, limit your time on social media and allocate time to read and watch quality content, such as articles, books or videos from educational channels. Some recommended channels include Ferry Irwandi's Kurzgesagt - In a Nutshell, which presents science and philosophy with engaging animations, TED which features talks from experts in various fields, CrashCourse which offers educational series on history, science, and literature, and Vsauce which explores interesting questions about science and human behavior. Second, choose accounts that provide educational and inspirational information, and actively engage in communities that discuss positive topics. Third, discuss the content you have consumed with friends to deepen your understanding and gain different perspectives. In addition, it is important to develop writing habits, such as taking notes or blogging about what has been learned, so as to improve critical thinking skills. In these ways, students can maintain brain health and improve the quality of information received, as well as contribute to a more positive digital environment.
