Excessive use of digital media can have a negative impact on brain health. Short and fast content reduces concentration, making it difficult for the younger generation to focus on learning. In addition, social media triggers anxiety and depression due to social comparison and dependence on external validation.

Screen exposure before bed also disrupts sleep quality because blue light inhibits melatonin production. This causes fatigue and decreased cognitive function. If not controlled, these impacts can affect long-term mental well-being.

To reduce the negative effects, it is important to limit screen time, especially before bed. Choosing quality content and increasing direct social interaction can help maintain mental health. In addition, education about healthy digital media use needs to be implemented in family and school environments.
