“Fight the Digital Zombie: Balance Screen & Real Life!”
This is a Response to the Brain Rot wikithon
Digital media can negatively affect young people’s brains, leading to concentration problems, gadget addiction, and reduced social interactions. These issues can hinder brain development and overall mental health. To address this problem, screen time should be managed wisely, limiting usage to a maximum of 2 hours per day for entertainment. Children also need to learn how to choose good content, helping them distinguish between beneficial and harmful information. Additionally, it is crucial to encourage more physical and social activities, such as outdoor play, sports, and direct interactions with family and friends. Parents should also set an example of healthy digital media use so that children can adopt good habits. Finally, early education about digital risks, including addiction, cyberbullying, and other negative effects, is essential to help children be more aware and responsible in using technology.
